Indian Visa Application Centre embraces GDPR

The Vista Centre which houses the Indian Visa and Consular Application Centre has turned to MediaBase Direct (MBD) to improve upon its visitor management and strengthen the building risk assessment. The multi-let office which is ideally located by London's Heathrow Airport required a digital alternative to its traditional paper books, and selected MBD's e-Reception Book solution.

As a huge number of people pass through the Vista Centre's reception area every-day, this prompted Neal Chauhan – Facilities Director, to seek a modern alternative to speed up the visitor registration process and strengthen the centres emergency risk assessment, all in real-time.

The Vista Centre Facilities Director, Neal Chauhan said:

“The e-Reception Book saves a lot of time and effort, and looks better than the traditional paper books. As a Visa Application Centre and a Serviced Office facility, we have lots of personnel going through reception, including visitors, visa applicants, contractors and college students. The e-Reception Book provides us with six different visitor categories, which helps us to know the individual's reason for their visit. The smart iPad Pro devices makes it simple for visitors to ‘Check-in’/ ‘Check-out’ compliantly, and the bright devices sets a modern first appearance".

“The e-Reception Book is really easy to set-up and has become an invaluable tool for my team. The system automatically sends a welcome email with vital, customisable content, such as fire and safety information to visitors. Furthermore, when guests ‘Check out’, a ‘thank you email is generated to keep them informed on any future site arrangements".

MBD’s Digital Marketing Manager, Laurence Bohmer said:

“Our tablet-based solution streamlines the visitor management process, enhances the visitor experience and ensures compliance with upcoming data legislation, including GDPR, e-Privacy and PECR. Our e-Reception Book is becoming indispensable for all businesses who quickly want to meet this strict data protection legislation criteria, whilst strengthening their building fire and emergency policies”.

MediaBase Direct is a DMA approved company, based in London and Hampshire. MBD has been delivering database and digital solutions for more than 22 years, embracing and creating mobile and web-based technologies for a wide range of clients.
